A healthy and hearty spread for your sandwich. Lupines contain a lot of high quality protein and minerals like potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, zinc and selenium. They are also high in fiber and low in carbohydrates which means they are great fillers.

Course spread


  • 2 cups lupine seeds cooked and drained
  • 1 cup tuber celery chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • fresh herbs (I used cilantro)
  • garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil


  • Heat oil in a skillet and sauté the onions, celery and garlic for about 5 minutes
  • Use your blender to puree the lupines, add all other ingredients and blend again.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
